Beckhoff KL5101 Incremental Encoder Interface
The KL5101 Bus Terminal is an interface for direct connection of incremental encoders with differential signals (RS422) or TTL single-ended signals. A 16 bit counter with quadrature decoder and a 16 bit latch for the zero pulse or input G1 can be read, set or activated. Via the status input, the error message output of an encoder can be connected and evaluated. A period duration measurement with a resolution of 200 ns is possible. The input G2 allows the counter to be disabled (High = Stop).
